Hanna Brothers was contracted to provide boxed lunches to support the FEMA disaster relief operation in the wake of Hurricane Maria which struck Puerto Rico in September of 2017. The catering company deployed its Disaster Relief Response System to quickly scale boxed lunch production to accommodate over 5,000,000 meals. Hanna Brothers worked with major food suppliers to coordinate production out of the Orange County Convention Center, and then shipped boxed lunches directly to FEMA.
