Successfully feeding a great meal to 6,000 employees on the tarmac of the world’s busiest airport requires some serious food traffic control. Hanna Brothers knew that a project of this scope presents many logistical challenges that have to be mapped out and worked through in order to be a success.
Delta Airlines asked Hanna Brothers to feed their teams at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and had two requests. The first was “serve a great meal”. The second was “no employee waiting in line”. Our HB Select planning process started with a chef-inspired menu, entailed many hours of meetings between our culinary, sales, and logistics teams. Weeks of preparation went into the project including sourcing ingredients, thinking through the packaging, transportation, signage, tents, and airport security.
Once all of the pieces to the plan were assembled and communicated across the Hanna Brothers organization, it came down to timing and execution across multiple teams. Once the big day came, complete with last-minute issues, the plan worked flawlessly and ended with high praise from Delta Airlines, their leadership team, and most importantly…the employees who came together around a great meal.
Our two decades of film catering experience has uniquely prepared our teams to be flexible and responsive at the drop of a hat, and overcome any unforeseen challenges that enter the equation with feeding this many people. We attribute our success with events like this to a great plan built by great people who always put the customer’s experience first.
